More about me as an educator…
Cassian Schulz
certified birth educator; doula
Education is the cornerstone of my life — and it helped change me from the inside out during my first pregnancy.
You might not believe it, but I actually grew up terrified of birth. When my plans changed from exclusively adopting to pursuing biological children and I got pregnant with my first child, I knew I had a lot to learn and a lot of internal work to do. My engineering background, personality, and temperament all gear me toward evidence-based practice, and the comprehensive class (same one that I now teach) gave me tons of great tools and information as I navigated the internal work I had to do. Giving birth was the coolest thing I’ve ever done.
Though all my pregnancies have been unique, I have been able to navigate them with confidence in my education and intuition. As an instructor, my goal is to equip you with knowledge and skills to navigate your personal situation, partner with whatever internal work you are processing, and help you set out for the birth you’ve been dreaming about experiencing.
